BFIC dispatched a volunteer group to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from July 25th to 30th (6 days) to successfully conduct basic CPR Education and Health & Hygiene Education for local residents and health care officials at Hosanna School and Choeung-Ek Health Center. Busan Global Friends provided basic CPR education to students at Hosanna School and Local Korean Residents' Safety Support Groups for 4 days. Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Education is designed to cope with the overall emergency situation, from the discovery of cardiac arrestors to the execution of resuscitation and the handover of rescue workers.

Furthermore, health and hygiene education was conducted for low-grade students, such as hand washing, teeth brushing, and Environmental-hormone prevention education. In addition to education, soap and toothbrush kits (toothbrush and toothpaste) were distributed so that students could not forget about the training and practice it!
▶ Health and Hygiene education On the 5th day, the volunteer group visited the Choeung-Ek Health Center, a Sister Village workplace, and provided CPR and Health Education to local representatives and health center officials. The training was conducted outdoors in the health center, and everyone actively participated despite the hot weather.

Global Friends’ activities not only raised awareness of CPR and Health & Hygiene in Cambodia, but also helped establish a sustainable volunteer work system through public-private cooperation. Also, with the dispatch of experts, volunteer work could be organized more professionally and systematically. We fully applaud the members who returned home safely after completing their six-day volunteer work! Our Foundation plans to continue development cooperation projects to meet demand for sister and friendly cities in partner countries. Please pay a lot of attention to the Global Friends activities to improve the Early Childhood Education Environment in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from August 26 to 27. Thank you. |
