Busan Foundation for International Cooperation held the 「2022 Korea-Africa Youth Forum」 in collaboration with the Korea-Africa Foundation. This forum is a program for African students and Korean youth to think about global issues such as "A Green Transition for a Sustainable Future and various practical ways to preserve the Marine Ecosystem" and we had a meaningful time with 30 African students and Korean youth in Busan.
Chung Jong-pil, Secretary-general of the BFIC, delivered a message that we hope that Korean-African youth will contribute to sustainable development and conservation of the marine environment between Korea and Africa. Starting with a keynote speech by Oluwaseyi Moejoh, co-founder of the U-Recycling Initiative Africa, young people in Africa presented various ideas for green transformation and marine ecosystem conservation, and had a lively discussion on the co-participation of environmental conservation programs. In the afternoon, it was quite a meaningful time for Korean-African youth through visiting Nakdonggang Eco Center and Huinnyeoul Culture Village and doing team missions. The Foundation plans to promote Korea-Africa exchanges more closely with the Korea-Africa Foundation in the future, and will work harder to make Busan a leading city in Korea-Africa exchanges! |
