On June 23, the Busan Metropolitan Government and our Foundation held the "2022 Eurasia City Forum" at the Asti Hotel in Busan, under the slogan of "Partnership for People and Peace." In the first session, former Ambassodor to Kazakhstan Baek Joo-hyun presented as a chairman and discussed the theme of “How to build Practical Network for Busan-Central Asia Cities“. Including H.E. Bakyt Dyussenbayev, Ambassador to Kasakhstan in Korea, other participants have also joined.
In the second session, including former Ukrainian Ambassador Lee Yang-koo and head of the Korea Eurasian Policy Institute(KEPI) Ko Jae-nam, lot of other participants have attended the presentation and discussion under the theme of “Suggestions for Practical Exchange between Busan and Central Asian Cities”. Also, there was a discussion about practical exchanges in the future with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan Embassies participated.
At the forum, there were developmental suggestions on specific business measures such ‘Need of expending exchanges between Busan and Central Asian cities’ and ‘Signing of sister cities’ in consideration of the world situation.
With this forum as an opportunity, our Foundation plans to revitalize exchanges and networks in Central Asia through ’Eurasian Citizen's Expedition’ in September. And continue to promote our effort to host 2030 World EXPO in Busan to Central Asian cities.
