On May 2, 2022(Monday), Ambassador to Tanzania Togolani Edriss Mavura visited the Busan Foundation of International Cooperation(BFIC).
Secretary-General Chung Jong-pil welcomed the Ambassador’s visit to Busan after the Tanzania Foreign Minister’s visit to Busan last time. Along with a brief introduction to the Foundation, the Secretary- General introduced the ODA business in the video and fil, sector that Foundation has been promoting. In addition, regarding the "Busan International Development Cooperation Consulting Project" promoted by the foundation this year, he said he would like to ask for a lot of cooperation so that suitable trainees can be selected. And he also asked for a continuous interest and support in hosting The 2030 World EXPO, a major issue in Busan.
Starting with the words that Busan is a very impressive city, the ambassador expressed his opinion that he would like to cooperate with Busan in areas such as the economy, film, coffee industry, and the 4th Industrial Revolution. Furthermore, he agreed with the project that the Foundation is planning to pursue and expressed high expectations for a long-term performance.
After the interview, we visited the Busan Film Commission, Busan Post Lab, and Busan Cinema Studio-Digital Bay to discuss ways to cooperate in the Film·Video fields between Busan and Tanzania. Kim In-soo, chairman of the steering committee of the Busan Film Commission, expressed his hope that this meeting will serve as a cornerstone and keep cooperate with Tanzania in more diverse fields.
In the future, through the ‘Busan International Development Cooperation Consulting Project’, BFIC will also establish a city vision plan for Tanzania through film projection. We hope for a lot of interest to various cooperation projects between the Foundation and Tanzania in the future. |
