Annual reporting on BFIC Interpretation and Translation service 2020 (December 23)

BFIC has been running 「free interpretation and translation services」 to support foreign residents living in Busan since 2012.

It has been in more demand than ever due to COVID-19 this year, and interpretation and translation supporters have also had a busy year :)

On December 23rd, the 「Annaul Reporting on BFIC Interpretation and Translation service 2020」 was held to report and conclude this year's performance.

BFIC's Secretary General Chung, Jongpil and 59 supporters who are leading the services to discuss the results and case sharing.

This year, there was a lot of confusion due to the COVID-19 pendemic situation, and in the meantime, we achieved 2,482 cases whic is about 200% of the previous year!

In particular, we are very grateful to the supporters who courageously jumped into the COVID-19 on-site for foreign residents from their home countries and the supporters who quickly translated COVID-19 news.

In addition, real-time satisfaction, which was first introduced this year, was also able to end with "Very good".

The meeting ended with a greeting from the Secretary-General, sharing the cases of supporters, who have been worked since 2013, and delivered a letter of appreciation and took a photo.

It was very unfortunate that the situation was not improved yet and it was held non-face-to-face, but BFIC will prepare better services in the future based on the feedbacks.

After the meeting, a lecture was held under the theme of <Labor Practice Interpretation: 2021 Minimum Wage and Overdue Wage>.

In the next year, many developmental changes are expected, such as the introduction of a more systematic interpretation and translation supporter education system and establishment of an application service system.
