[How to treat]
A bedbug bite can cause itching and secondary skin infection. Rarely,
anaphylaxis occurs, causing high fever and inflammatory reactions. Wash with
water and soap, and consult your doctor or pharmacist for treatment and
prescription based on symptoms.
[How to find bedbugs]
1. Daytime
- 2 or 3 bites in a row or round shape
- Red-brown bedbug excrement, bloodstains, skin, etc.
- Visible or identified traces of byproducts or excreta in bedbugs
2. Night
- If you enter the dark room quietly and suddenly shine a flashlight, you can
find a bedbug moving to hide in the dark. Especially focus on the edge of the
bed or between the mattresses
[How to get rid of bedbugs]
- Conduct after checking the bedbugs
- Get rid of bedbugs simultaneously around contaminated areas such as
multi-family homes and lodging facilities
1. Physical method
- Spraying high heat of steam into cracks in furniture and walls where bed bugs
live
- Remove using suction power from vacuum cleaner
- Put contaminated fabrics in a 50-60 degree dryer for at least 30 minutes
2. Chemical method
- Use insecticides(products authorized by the Ministry of Environment)
- Refrain from using a heated smoke screen or fumigation(a.k.a. smoke bomb) to
prevent hidden bedbugs from moving to other places to avoid
- If it is a painted cement wall or plywood, use pyrethroid residual spray emulsion

bugs]
- Immediately upon visiting accommodation, check the area where bedbugs are
hidden(cracks of bed, mattress, sofa, etc. and parts that touches the wall)
- Avoid putting luggage on the floor or bed of the room even when bedbugs are
not visible
- If you have experience with bedbugs during trip, you need to thoroughly
disinfect your travel supplies
