To improve problems related ‘the period of stay’ of foreigners in Korea, the Ministry of Justice is set to grant it within a passport expiration date as of Jul 1, 2021.

1^st problem : Don’t reissue a passport after the expiration date

2^nd problem : Don’t report change of passport information

3^rd problem : It’s difficult to identity the accurate status on departure/entry and stay with different passport information

                                                                  ↓

1^st effect : The decrease in fine for violation of reporting change of passport information

2^nd effect : The management of accurate departure/entry and stay by actualizing the passport information at all times

* Exceptional visas : Permanent(F-5), Refugee(F-2-4), Humanitarian status(G-1-6)
