O The head of the immigration office may order foreigners to leave the country on the condition that they deposit up to 20 million won in performance deposits in consideration of crimes, concerns about getaway, humanitarian reasons, etc.

O In case that a foreigner fails to leave the country within the departure deadline or violates the conditions attached to the departure order(such as prohibition of illegal employment, etc.), all or part of the deposit may be attributed to the national treasury.

O If a foreigner complies with the conditions and leaves the country within the departure deadline, the entire deposit will be returned. If part of the deposit is attributed to the treasury due to violation of the conditions, the balance will be returned.
